Frequently asked questions
Is FRTI an SDI or TDI diving certification?
FRTI is First Response Training International. Its emergency-care qualifications are separate from SDI recreational diving, TDI technical training and ERDI public safety diving.
Do I need a scuba certification?
No scuba certification is required for these provider courses. Divers and non-divers can build the same practical emergency-care skills.
Is oxygen administration included in every CPR course?
Oxygen Administration is a separate FRTI provider qualification. Tell us which certifications you need so we can arrange the appropriate program or combination.
Can a provider course qualify me to teach?
Teaching requires completion of the appropriate instructor program and active instructor status. A provider card alone does not qualify its holder to certify students.
Will this meet my employer’s requirements?
Bring the exact requirement before booking. We will review the requested program with you so you can confirm acceptance with the organization that requires it.
