Course Prerequisites

To enroll in the TDI Intro to Tech Diving course, students must meet the following prerequisites:

• Minimum age 18, or 15 with parental consent
• Minimum certification: SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent
• Proof of at least 25 logged open water dives

Minimum Gear Requirements

Students are required to have the following equipment:

• Backplate / Harness / Wing or Sidemount Harness
• Primary and backup regulators with SPG
• Long hose setup required for single tank, back mount, doubles, or sidemount
• Two dive computers (Shearwater or Garmin recommended)
• 150 ft ascent reel with open-bottom DSMB
• Two line cutting devices
• Wet notes
• Adequate exposure suit appropriate for the diving environment
