Pool refresher session

Tuition: $245 per diver. The session may include SDI InActive Diver Refresher eLearning and in-water practice with scuba system assembly and weight adjustment, mask clearing, regulator clearing and recovery, controlled descents and ascents, air-sharing ascents, fin use, and buoyancy control. Confirm the current inclusions, eLearning requirement, schedule, and equipment arrangements with the shop before booking.

Optional Blue Heron Bridge skills tour

A guided Blue Heron Bridge tour may be available after pool practice. Contact Stuart Scuba for the current package price, availability, meeting instructions, and conditions. The tour is subject to site and weather conditions.

Who should take a refresher?

Certified divers who have not been in the water recently, feel rusty with basic skills, or want a supervised review before a trip may benefit. If you have never been certified, contact us about an entry-level course instead. Tell the instructor how long it has been since your last dive and about any concerns before the session.

1. Who is the refresher course for?

5. What skills will I practice?

You may review scuba system assembly, mask and regulator clearing and recovery, controlled descents and ascents, air sharing, finning, and buoyancy control. Your instructor will tailor the session to your needs.

6. Is eLearning part of the course?

Yes. eLearning is included with every class. We’ll tell you how to access the SDI InActive Diver Refresher materials and when to complete them before pool training.

7. How long does the refresher take?

Your refresher includes eLearning and one pool session. We’ll confirm the session length and arrival time when we schedule you.

8. Where does the pool session take place?

We offer the course in the Stuart, Florida area. Contact us for the current pool location and check-in instructions.

9. Do I get a new certification card?

Yes. After successful completion, your refresher includes an electronic certification card (eCard). It documents your refresher training; it does not award a new Open Water Diver certification. A physical card is available on request for $20.

10. Will this course make me current for every dive?

A refresher helps you review skills, but dive operators may set their own recency, experience, or checkout-dive requirements. Check with the operator for your planned trip.

11. What should I bring?

Bring your certification card and any personal gear you have, such as a mask, fins, snorkel, and exposure protection. Your personal SCUBA set should include a BCD, wetsuit, regulator with gauges, and compass. Tank rental and weights are included. Contact us to confirm what other gear is available.

12. Can I use rental scuba equipment?

13. Can I take the refresher if I was certified by another agency?

Yes. Tell us your certification agency and level, and your instructor will confirm whether this refresher fits your training background.

14. What if I have not dived for several years?

Tell your instructor how long it has been since your last dive and share your experience. We’ll help you decide whether a refresher, extra practice, or a full course is the right fit.

15. Can your instructor focus on skills I find difficult?

Yes. Tell your instructor which skills you’d like to review, such as buoyancy, mask clearing, or regulator recovery, so we can make good use of your pool time.

16. Is the Blue Heron Bridge tour guaranteed?

18. Can a non-certified beginner take the refresher?

No. This refresher is for people who already hold a scuba certification. Contact us about beginner training if you’re not yet certified.
