Why Choose SSI’s Decompression Diving Specialty?

This course will train you to plan and execute dives up to a depth of 40 meters (130 feet) with controlled decompression using your recreational diving system and a single decompression cylinder. You’ll master your dive computer's advanced functions—gas switching, gas integration, time-to-reserve, and time-to-surface—so that safe and smooth decompression diving becomes second nature. Upon successful completion, you’ll earn the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, opening the door to more complex dive sites and larger wrecks without the constraints of no-decompression limits.
