Mizpah wreck overview
The Mizpah is one of the named wrecks in the West Palm Beach Corridor, a north–south line of wrecks and reef material explored as a boat-accessed drift dive. The Mizpah was placed as an artificial reef in 1968. Its upper deck has collapsed, and penetration is not recommended.
Depth, access and planning
- Site type: shipwreck and artificial reef.
- Depth: the Corridor is described at approximately 85 feet, with a broader published site range of about 63–90 feet. Treat this as a regional planning range, not a guaranteed depth for every part of the wreck.
- Access: boat only. The Corridor is commonly dived as a drift; current direction and strength vary, and the captain selects the entry point and dive plan.
- Experience: the Corridor is an advanced boat dive. Confirm the planned depth, current and any certification or experience requirements for your charter. Do not enter the wreck without appropriate wreck training, equipment and an approved plan.
- What divers may see: marine growth, reef fish and, seasonally, goliath groupers in the Corridor. Wildlife encounters are never guaranteed.
