About the Amaryllis
The Amaryllis is a wreck in the West Palm Beach Corridor, a boat-accessed wreck area commonly dived as a northbound drift. Local dive references identify it among the Corridor wrecks and describe it as a vessel lost during Hurricane Betsy and later established as an artificial reef. Reef growth and marine life vary with season and conditions.
Depth, access and planning
- Site type: shipwreck and artificial reef.
- Depth: Palm Beach sources describe the Corridor at about 85 feet overall, with a broader published range of approximately 63–90 feet across the route. This is not a verified depth measurement for every part of the Amaryllis.
- Access: boat only; typically planned as part of a drift. Current, visibility and the exact drop point vary.
- Experience: the Corridor is an advanced boat dive. Confirm planned depth, current, equipment and training requirements with Stuart Scuba. Wreck penetration requires appropriate training and a specific approved plan.
