Easy Citrus Grouper with Mango Salsa
Light, bright, and beachy — this grouper recipe tastes like Florida sunshine and comes together fast enough that you can spend less time cooking and more time pretending you’re on vacation.
What you need
- 4 grouper fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lime
- 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 1/4 red onion, finely diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- Optional: avocado slices for serving
How to make it
Mix the diced mango, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and the juice of half a lime in a bowl. Set it aside and let it get happy.
Pat the grouper dry. Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon and lime.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the grouper for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until it flakes easily.
Plate the fish and spoon the mango salsa over the top. Add avocado if you want to show off.
Serve it with
Rice, a simple salad, roasted veggies, or straight off the plate while standing in the kitchen because it smells too good to wait.
